S.S. Bajwa Memorial Golf Tournament a Big Hit

INDUSTRY, CA - The 2nd SS Bajwa Memorial Golf Tournament held at the Industry
Hills Golf Course on July 28, was a huge success with 165 golfers from US and
India participating in the event. The Tournament was organized by Cargo Solution
Express Inc. in memory of their late uncle Lt. S.S. Bajwa.

West Indies Cricket captain Richie Richardson and Secy of Chandigarh Golf Club S
Jagdeep Singh Cheema were the Chief Guests. Tennis star Vijay Amritraj and
former West Indies Test player Franklyn Rose were the other sport luminaries
present on the occasion. Ravi Bakshi and Kyle George bagged the coveted SS Bajwa
Trophy. Prizes were given out during a dinner hosted at Diamond Bar.
Congratulating Bobby Kang, CEO of Cargo Solutions for organizing such a well
organized tournament, Amritraj thanked him for inviting him and also for
supporting the Vijay Amritraj Foundation. He said that Kang should be commended
for garnering a great deal of support from the community even though the
Tournament was only in its second year. He also extended his support to the S.S.
Bajwa Memorial Foundation.
Speaking to India Journal Bobby Kang, explained that the objective of S.S. Bajwa
Memorial Foundation is to raise money for charity purposes in rural India.
According to Bobby’s brother Baldev Kang, the Foundation hopes to work with
Non-Governmental organizations in Punjab dealing with kidney disease and organ
transplantation. Their interest in philanthropic work was inspired by their
uncle’s lofty ideals. S.S. Bajwa had died due to kidney failure. The Cargo
Solutions Express Inc., is a Fontana based one stop logistics and transportation
company.
Other notable winners were Amar Sandhu and Richards who won the second spot and
in the Flight A category. Dixit Patel and Upu Laxmidas came in third. The game
was played as a two-man scramble.
In the B flight category, the joint winners of the first place were Raja Mehta
and Raj Trivedi, whereas Bernando and Victor won the second spot. Bunny Sidhu
and Jazzy Sahota secured the third place.
In the C flight category Ramesh Patel and Dilip Dayaram were the toppers follwed
by Suresh Patel and Amrit Patel. Paresh Bhakta and Nitin Patel came in third.
The Long Drive was won by Victor Paredes of Cargo Solutions.
Twenty Raffle prizes were also given away. Kamlesh Doshi won the 65” Panasonic
Plasma TV which was donated to the Vijay Amritraj Foundation. Kang Brothers also
donated $10,000 to the Amritraj Foundation. The Amritraj Foundation raises funds
for HIV/AIDS awareness and pediatric AIDS patients in India.
